Galene 1.2.1 is available by doing

    git clone -b galene-1.2.1 https://github.com/jech/galene

Galene 1.2 has a bug where loging in without closing the camera and
microphone test will keep the analysis running in the background.  Not
a big deal, usually, but it causes extra CPU load and may drain the user's
devices batteries faster.

Galene 1.2.1 fixes this bug.  While I was at it, I included two small
patches from Daniel Höxtermann (to whom thanks) that fix the display of
camera/microphone icons in the user list.

8 September 2026: Galene 1.2.1

  * Ensured that the camera test and audio analyser are stopped when the
    user logs in (they were hidden from view, but not stopped).
  * Fixed some issues with computing the status of user streams that could
    cause the wrong icon to appear in the user list.  Thanks to
    Daniel Höxtermann.
