Hi,

This is probably still a bit preliminary, but Pyrite is about to become an actively maintained project again after 3 years of inactivity! Most of the old project code (Vue/Vite/Express) was ported recently to the new Expressio stack (Preact/Deepsignal/Bun/Bunchy) using Cursor. The project is still somewhat in a limbo state, but now has a more flexible foundation (common lib/styleguide/reusable components/theming/i18n) to work with. 

The new Pyrite will be developed as a Slack-like channel-based chat workspace with seamlessly integrated Galène video-conferencing. It may still take a few months to complete (even with Cursor), but I'll publish a new release on npm, as soon as it's getting stable enough for first alpha testing. The project is back on Github again at https://github.com/garage44/garage44 (monorepo)

Hello,

Best wishes for the new year. Some news and plans about Pyrite development I would like
to share. I'm finally started to dogfooding Pyrite with daily standups in my dayjob, and am trying to make it
more usable with the feedback I've received so far. Thanks to @ericgaspar there is now also a French Pyrite.
If you want to checkout a running instance of Pyrite; there is now a galene group with 3 regular users on https://pyrite.video/
